blankit and your CRM

Your client list stops being two lists.

Most advisors keep the book in one system and do the renewal work in another, then spend the year keeping the two in step by hand. Connect the one you already use and blankit matches every client to the record you already keep, then reads each one’s renewal date straight onto your pipeline board.

Four systems

Whichever one you already run on.

HubSpot

About two minutes, on your own

You create a key inside HubSpot and paste it in. Nothing to install, nothing for us to approve. You need to be a Super Admin in HubSpot, which is the one thing that trips people up.

Zoho

About thirty seconds, on your own

Nothing to create at all. Pick your region, press Connect, sign in to Zoho and approve blankit. Canadian-region Zoho accounts are supported today.

Salesforce

A short job for whoever admins it

A Connected App in your org, then a key and secret pasted into blankit. Supported longest, and it has its own section in settings.

Microsoft Dynamics 365

Hand this one over

Dynamics cannot be connected from inside Dynamics. Four things have to be set up across two Microsoft admin sites, so it is a job for whoever manages your Microsoft account. blankit gives them the exact list.

What you get

Matches your clients

blankit compares every client in your book against the companies in your CRM and links the ones it is sure about. Where two records could both be the client, it shows you the pair and lets you pick — it never guesses between similar names.

Fills in renewal dates

If you record renewal dates in your CRM, they land on your pipeline board. Gaps get filled; anything you have already scheduled is left exactly as it is.

Keeps client details current

Point blankit at the fields that hold industry, province, employee count and the like, and it keeps the client record in step. A value it cannot read is reported back to you rather than guessed at.

Brings across your contacts

The people you have recorded against each client — name, title, email, phone — show up on the client record, so the person to call is where you are already looking.

Mirrors commission rates

If your CRM holds the commission rate for a client, blankit can price its reconciliation off the same number you quote. A rate you entered by hand always wins.

Runs overnight

All of it happens on its own every night. You only hear from blankit when something needs you — a client that matched two records, or a step that could not run.

Which way the data moves

It reads. It writes back only if you switch that on.

Out of the box

blankit only reads. Nothing in your CRM is created, changed or deleted, and disconnecting leaves it exactly as it was. If that is all you want, you are done.

If you want the other direction

You can let blankit put its own figures onto the company record — the next renewal date, where the renewal has got to, what the carrier asked for, the savings identified. You turn it on, you choose which figure goes in which field, and blankit shows you exactly what it would write before it writes anything.

A figure blankit does not have yet is skipped rather than written as a blank, so it can never empty a field you filled in yourself.

Setting it up

Written for an advisor, not an IT department.

blankit walks you through it a screen at a time, naming the actual buttons you are looking for in your own CRM. Where a step genuinely needs someone technical — Dynamics does — it says so up front and gives you the list to hand over, rather than letting you get four screens in before you find out.

Nothing about the connection is permanent. You can disconnect whenever you like, and your CRM is untouched.

If you don’t use one

A CRM is optional. Plenty of firms don’t connect one.

Adding clients by hand is the default path and always works. Carrier documents reach blankit by upload, by email, from Slack or Teams, from Outlook, or out of a watched cloud folder — none of that depends on a CRM. Connect one if you have one; skip it if you don’t.

Bring your book across once.

We will connect it with you on a call and show you the matches before anything is linked.
